Day 01

Gondar to Sankaber

Gondar to Sankaber
Drive from Gondar to Simien Mountains National Park. Enjoy scenic views of the Ethiopian highlands, traditional villages, and dramatic mountain landscapes along the way. After completing the park formalities, begin exploring the Sankaber area with a short walk, depending on your arrival time. Look for gelada monkeys and enjoy spectacular views of the escarpment.
Overnight: Sankaber campsite.

Day 02

Sankaber to Chenek

Sankaber to Chenek
After breakfast, begin trekking from Sankaber to Chenek through the magnificent Simien Mountains. Follow scenic trails along the escarpment, enjoying panoramic views of deep valleys, rugged cliffs, and rolling highland plateaus. Along the way, observe gelada monkeys and look for the endemic Walia ibex in suitable habitats.
Arrive at Chenek in the afternoon and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery.

Short Trek, Drive to Gondar and Flight to Addis Ababa
Wake up early and enjoy a short morning trek around Chenek. Take in the spectacular mountain views and look for wildlife, including the Walia ibex. After breakfast, drive back to Gondar through the beautiful Ethiopian highlands.
Upon arrival in Gondar, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Addis Ababa, concluding your three-day Simien Mountains trekking adventure.
